"I
think it is fair to say that the Chapter cannot speak
too highly of
Craigmyle. In my view Craigmyle listened to us, looked
carefully at how we operate, and the service provided
was geared to our needs. The Dean and Chapter, and
I have no hesitation in recommending Craigmyle as consultants
capable of assisting in any major appeal."
Chester Cathedral
We have worked for more than 30 Cathedrals,
90 parish churches and a wide variety of religious organisations.
Recent and current clients include:
Southwark
Cathedral Southwark
Cathedral won a 50% Millennium Commission
grant for a major £10.5 million capital
redevelopment programme. We worked with
the Cathedral to raise the balance required
over the 2 year campaign. Major Gifts
fundraising was a key element in the strategy
and Charitable Trusts results were particularly
impressive.
The Prayer
Book Society The Prayer Book Society needed an endowment
fund of at least £250,000 to secure
its work for the future. We provided
a short-term consultancy service which
helped the Society establish its case,
identify potential supporters and organise
face-to-face personal
"asks" and specialised mailings. We are
continuing to advise the Society on
a legacy fundraising strategy.
Margaret Beaufort
Institute of Theology The Institute provides theological training
for Catholic laywomen, equipping them
for a wide variety of working roles within
the Catholic Church. We provided a consultancy
service to develop a strategy to raise
the £1.8 million needed to buy the Institute's
building, Lady Margaret House.
Pathfinder
Fellowship The
Fellowship promotes the practice
and study of the Christian faith
to young people. We undertook a feasibility
study to assess potential for a
capital campaign and advised the
Fellowship on an appropriate longer-term
sustainable fundraising strategy.
The Church
of England Youth Campaign We have supported the
development of a national major gifts
campaign on behalf of young people. This
has led to a pilot of a Youth Evangelism
Fund and the establishment of a programme
to pump-prime 100 new Church Secondary
Schools.
St. Chad’s
RC CathedralBirmingham St. Chad’s
was the first Cathedral to be built
after Catholic Emancipation and was
designed by Augustus Welby Pugin in
1839. We are managing the Campaign
to develop the crypt to provide a
visitor centre and exhibition space
to display the important collection
of religious artefacts dating from
the 15th Century. Other projects include
sympathetic decoration and lighting
in the Cathedral interior and the
start of an endowment fund.

Catholic
Central Library
After many years beside Westminster Cathedral,
the Library was saved from dissolution
by a board of Trustees. Currently the
Library is looking for a new home and
is renting space near the British Library
in St. Pancras. Craigmyle has been providing
strategic advice which will include preparing
a report on the feasibility of raising
a substantial sum to purchase and convert
an eventual property.
