St Andrew's Club

Welfare and Community

No area of public life has been harder hit in recent years by the cutbacks in national and local government spending than the health, welfare and community sector. Conversely, public support in this area is perhaps greater than in any other. We have worked with some 300 hospitals, hospices, community care groups, nursing homes and health charities over the years. Our expertise can help you harness the enthusiasm and commitment that your organisation generates through its work to maximize your fundraising potential.

Current and recent clients include

Fight Against Blindness - current client

FAB helps children and young people with sight loss and visual impairment across the UK reach their full potential.

In 2021, Craigmyle started working with FAB to review and manage its fundraising. With ambitious plans to expand its service delivery, we’ve worked with FAB to grow income, primarily from trusts and foundations.

We researched previous trust supporters and identified potential new ones, coordinating the drafting of tailored applications and managed any necessary follow up.  In 3 years, income has more than doubled to £150,000 in 2023 (from £65,000 in 2020), allowing FAB to commit to a new project in London with GOSH.

Our Time - recent

Our Time is the only charity in the UK that specifically supports children who have a parent with a mental illness. We began working with them just before lockdown in 2020 and delivered a bid writing service which helped them survive as they pivoted their services to deliver online programmes over the next two years.

GROW, Guernsey - recent

GROW helps adults with learning difficulties by providing employment enabling them to be included and valued within a workplace and the wider community.

In 2019/20 Craigmyle lead a review of the strategy for a major redevelopment appeal and in particular detailed preparation and coaching for the major gift phase. By 2022 the major gift phase had achieved the progress required to commit to the project and move onto the public phase of fundraising.
