Funding research and bid writing
Our funding research service typically focuses on grant making trusts and foundations, other grant funding sources, national statutory bodies, corporate donors and high net worth individuals.
We make use of Craigmyle’s 3,500 entry database of trusts which is regularly updated from published sources and feedback from our consultants and clients. The results are either presented in an easy to view summary format for clients to use, or are interpreted by a Craigmyle consultant working with a client to enable us to agree priorities and enable application planning.
The results of research and guidance alongside it, are presented in a way that enables clients, often with support from Craigmyle, to map their ways to reach those who are in a position to influence gift decision-making.
Funding research often leads on to our bid writing and bid review services. These are carried out at a level of support depending on the needs of the client. We often engage in a mentoring role, giving the client team confidence in their approach and ensuring effectiveness. Alternatively, a complete bid drafting service can be carried out by Craigmyle consultants in partnership with clients.
An experienced Craigmyle bid reviewer can make sure that bids are robust, appealing and appropriate in either context.
We aim to pass on not only effective pieces of specific work, but to leave clients with the resources, confidence and ability to work independently in these areas for the future.
